Each poster for the film *Spirited Away* employs a vertical main visual composition. The upper half of the poster uses a top-heavy, bottom-light structure: the most recognizable features of the character—the head, facial contours, mask, or half-body outline—serve as the dominant visual element, forming a highly identifiable silhouette. The lower half features the complete character as a secondary subject, in a stable standing or slightly moving pose, forming the visual core of the image. The interior of the main outline and the area surrounding the character utilize double exposure and a collage-like narrative composition, seamlessly blending various scenes, images, small character relationships, auxiliary elements, and the environment within layers of mist, ink wash, and negative space.
