Each poster for the film *Spirited Away* employs a vertical main visual composition. The upper half of the poster uses a top-heavy, bottom-light structure: the most recognizable features of the character—the head, facial contours, mask, or half-body outline—serve as the dominant visual element, forming a highly identifiable silhouette. The lower half features the complete character as a secondary subject, in a stable standing or slightly moving pose, forming the visual core of the image. The interior of the main outline and the area surrounding the character utilize double exposure and a collage-like narrative composition, seamlessly blending various scenes, images, small character relationships, auxiliary elements, and the environment within layers of mist, ink wash, and negative space. Reciprocating backgrounds are placed on the left and right sides, creating narrative tension and spatial variation. A flowing thread runs vertically, connecting the main character, the internal collage, and the upper main outline, enhancing overall cohesion and visual guidance.
